Project KP30; Teaser pic…

Well I painted and fitted my wheels today, this is all you are getting for now.

Still need to sort out some more spacers and adjust the height a little before I throw some pics up. I spent today changing the studs all round for +20mm competition ones. This means whatever wheels I fit I can always dial them in for flushness and the factory studs would have left me with about 3 threads with my new wheels!

Pulled the shafts to get the rears ones in. Yes, I know my workshop is a dump, but everything is in its place!

Pulling in the splines using a socket and old wheel nut.

In other news, the splitter is painted and fitted, but your going to have to wait for that too..

C’était un rendez vous – Claude Lelouch

I never want to belive this is not real. In 1976 while the creators of films like “Getaway in Stockholm” were still in short trousers Claude Lelouch shot this amazing film of a Ferrari 275GTB racing through Paris at 5.30am.

For me it is so special not just because of what it is, but the fact that it is unrepeatable; Paris will never look like that again, cars will never sound that good again, traffic will never be so calm again and driving through a city will never be that easy again.

So sit back and enjoy 9mins of the best automotive Concorde moment ever.

Project KP30; Stretch & Burn

Last week I finally decided on the tyres I wanted to get for my new rims. I settled on 185-60 Toyo Proxes on the rear and 165-65 Toyo 350s on the front. Through the wonder of the world wide web I placed my order with a few clicks and in 2 days they hit my door step. Good times.

Here is a 185 on one of the  the 9″s. Mmmmm bit of a stretch then…..

After enjoying a few vids of people burning themselfs on Youtube using the old hairspray trick I thought it only right I attemp it too.

OK, so the first few attempts did not go well and I lost most of the hair of the back of my hands. My next attempt was much more successful having the airline hooked up and the wheel the other way round so less of the hairspray could escape.

Bang….

Kinda gives you an idea.

Rinse and repeat 3 more times.

Still need to order some longer studs and repaint them before fitting them up and spacing them. I hate how work gets in the way of everything and makes fitting a set of rims take a month! Oh well.
